  1. I don’t want to be in conflict with the Roman Catholic Church, or any other faith tradition, but I must defend my right to have my religion, and those of every other American, as well as the right of all Americans to be equally represented in the public square. While I will not criticize the doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church, I will say that the Roman Catholic Church enjoys a tax-exempt status at my largess and businesses operated by the Roman Catholic Church are subsidized by my taxes.

The Roman Catholic Church can drop its tax-exempt status if Roman Catholic clergy want to use the church as a political advocacy organization. The Roman Catholic Church can also do its good works without benefit of taxpayer subsidies if they do not want the businesses the church operates to be subject to secular business regulations.

The Thomas More Society has decided to defend Bishop Jenky from the IRS complaint filed by Americans United for Separation of Church and State. They may succeed given that six of the nine justices who sit on the Supreme Court of The United States, but that does not indicate that their defense of Jenky’s reprehensible comments are in any way appropriate.

Not only am I offended by The Roman Catholic Church’s attempt to sabotage President Obama’s efforts to provide all Americans with proper health care, I am also offended by The Roman Catholic Church’s efforts to impose their religious doctrine on women by working to deny them control of their bodies and the efforts to deny equal human and civil rights to LGBTQ Americans.

Bishop Jenky’s attack on President Obama was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

As a result, I have created a parody website in which I will continue to expose the lack of respect for all things non-Roman Catholic.

    Bishop “Bear” Jenky

Sadly, Bishop Jenky and other members of the Roman Catholic Church hierarchy have laid themselves open to this satirical treatment.
